My join link is expired or has been used

What to do when a membership join link shows "This payment setup link has expired" or refuses to load, including how to request a new link from the gym.

A membership join link is a secure, time-limited link that your gym sends you to complete your enrolment. If the link is expired or no longer valid, you will see an error page instead of the Complete your membership form.

What you will see

When a join link has expired or been used, the page shows a message similar to This payment setup link has expired along with a note to contact the gym for a new one. A Go to gym page button is also shown, which takes you back to the gym's public schedule.

If the page shows This link is unavailable with a different message, the link may have been copied incorrectly or partially.

Common causes

  • The link expired. Join links are only valid for a set period. If you wait too long before opening the link, it will no longer work.
  • The link was already used. Each join link can only be completed once. If you previously completed the membership setup on this link, it cannot be reopened.
  • The link was partially copied. If the link was copied from an email, part of it may have been cut off or wrapped across two lines. Try selecting the full link again from the original email or message.

What to do

  1. Contact your gym and let them know the link is no longer valid.
  2. Ask them to send a new membership setup link. The gym's staff can generate a new one from the admin panel.
  3. Once the gym sends a new link, open it promptly and complete the membership setup in one session.

If you are unsure how to contact the gym, use the Go to gym page button on the error screen. The gym's public schedule page shows their phone number and email address if they have added contact details.
