You hit send on a campaign and it didn't go out — you saw an error, or the campaign didn't move to a sent state. Here's what to do.
What's happening
A first send attempt can occasionally fail for a transient reason (a brief network or service hiccup) and then succeed cleanly on a second attempt. This is the most common cause and it's almost always fixed by simply trying again.
How to fix it
- Open Communications and re-open the campaign you tried to send.
- Confirm it didn't actually go out — check the campaign's status and its delivery detail. If it shows recipients were delivered, it sent and no action is needed.
- If it genuinely didn't send, send it again from the campaign. A retry resolves the large majority of first-attempt failures.
- Before resending, sanity-check the basics: the campaign has recipients in its audience, and a subject and body are filled in.
- If the send keeps failing after a couple of retries, contact support with the campaign name and roughly when you tried — don't keep retrying, as the problem is on the sending side and needs investigating.
If the campaign sent but specific members didn't receive it, that's a different issue — see A member isn't receiving emails or SMS.
